19 Best Fall Fun Activities To Do This Year!

Fall Fun Checklist

Are you interested in reading a short list of some fun activities to do this fall? Then this post is for you……

The cool crisp air, leaves changing, cozy sweaters, it is the perfect time of the year to get out there and enjoy all of the great things the season has to offer.

Here is a list of 19 of the super fun family activities to do this fall:

 1. Get lost in a corn maze.

Bring the whole family!  Corn mazes are great for kids, teens, and adults alike!  Make it a game.  Whoever can make it through the corn maze first gets a caramel apple!

2. Go apple picking.

Apples are abundant in fall.  Visit a local orchard and pick apples.  Take them home and bake an apple pie.

3. Make Halloween costumes.

Let your creative juices flow!  Instead of buying ready-made Halloween costumes, just make them.  Impress your friends at your next party and create a one of a kind costume that will have everyone talking!

4. Collect fallen leaves.

A fun activity to do with kids is to go outside and collect a bunch of leaves and then create art out of them.

5. Visit a pumpkin patch.

Pumpkin patches are great for all ages.  Most offer a variety of activities from a petting zoo, hayrides, vegetable picking, and so much more.

6. Create awesome Jack-O-lanterns.

Carving pumpkins is one of my favorite fall activities.  Get the whole family together and see who can create the most unique, scary, or funny jack-o-lantern.

7. Go trick or treating.

Grab the kids and go trick or treating.  It’s fun to get out and see all of the fun costumes and scary houses!

8. Play football.

Gather up some of your friends and family for a game of football.   This can be one of the most fun outdoor activities to play this season.

9. Watch a football game.

Seeing a game live is exciting, but if you aren’t fortunate enough to grab a ticket, grab some friends and family and watch the game at home.  Make some fun tailgating drinks and treats, and enjoy!

10. Make a scare crow.

Most craft stores supply all of the materials to make scare crows and other holiday crafts.  Get the family involved and each person could make their own scare crow to decorate the yard.

11. Go hiking.

Go for a hike.   It’s a great way to get outside, get some exercise and enjoy the fall foliage.

12. Get spooked in a haunted house.

Get into the Halloween spirit and head to a haunted house!  Gather some friends.. and maybe a diaper…and enter if you dare!

13. Throw a Halloween party.

I love any reason to throw a party!  Scary decorations, Halloween themed food and drinks are a great way to set the mood for spooktacular night!  Have guest arrive in costume and at the end of the night give out prizes for the best costumes.

14. Attend a fall festival.

Churches and other organizations host a wide variety of fall festivals.  Check locally to see what fun events are going on.

 15. Take advantage of the seasonal foods.

Put your culinary skills to the test and take advantage of what’s in season.  Apples and pumpkins are very popular this time of year.  Try making applesauce, apple pie, pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie or pumpkin bread.

16. Make a bon fire.

Make a bon fire and roast marshmallows while listening to ghost stories.

17. Go for a ride.

Enjoy the fall foliage and go for a scenic drive.

18. Watch scary movies.

Snuggle up!  Have a scary movie marathon night and watch some of the scariest movies ever made.

19. Play in the leaves.

Raking up the fallen leaves isn’t very fun but jumping on them is!
