5 Tips To Create a Healthy Life You Want to Share

Social media profiles and newsfeeds have allowed us to share our personal events and milestones with people across the globe. Yet, what happens if you feel you have nothing to share? Many of us read the posts and see the images of our family members and friends celebrating their health goal achievements. Whether it’s a snapshot of that new juicer for healthier eating or before and after photos depicting a bodily transformation, you are bound to see the accomplishments of others on your wall. At Live Lethal, we are here to help you create a healthy life you want to share, so here are 5 tips to push you to set and realize your personal goals:

1. Reflect and be thankful. Beginning the journey of setting goals requires a healthy frame of mind. You cannot expect positive change with a negative outlook. Yes, you can pinpoint what you’d like to change in yourself and your life, but you must also recognize the many wonderful ways that you are a fantastic person, who is loved just the way you are. This positivity will give you the power to go the distance and see the big changes that can take time to achieve.

2. Tell yourself you can do it. Seriously, do it now! Say out loud, “This is my goal and I can achieve it by…” and fill in the blank with what you are going to do to reach your goal. Each morning repeat it. If mid-way through your day you are doubting yourself because you saw yet another before and after photo, say it again. You can do it! If they can do it, so can you – believe in yourself.

3. Share an announcement of your goals. That’s right – put up a declaration post that lets everyone know you are embarking on a crusade to live a healthier life. In fact, research has shown that each of us is significantly more likely to see a goal through to the end if we tell another person (or share on social media) that we are going to do something specific, such as eat clean or train for a marathon.

4. Document your progress. Put an appointment in your phone’s calendar to add to your health journal on the same day each month. Okay, it’s not a “journal” per say, because people hear the word journal and they let out a depressing sigh. This is a documentation of your progress. Each month, Live Lethal wants you to take a photo, write down a typical daily menu and your current state of health. As you implement changes in your life, such as running 4 days a week or eating 5 small meals a day, you will see change manifest in its smallest form, which will empower you to keep going.

5. Share your own milestone. Once you look at the whole picture of how you have changed, share your own story of accomplishment. If you look different or feel healthier, share it and inspire others to take the leap you have taken.

It’s time to share – if you aren’t ready to share with your social media audience, share with your Live Lethal community of supporters, because we are all on this adventure together!
