5 Motivational Tips To Guarantee Your Weight-Loss Success
How To End the Excuses and Finally
Get The Fitness Results You’re After
Feeling a little down because you’re not achieving your ideal fitness goals?
Don’t worry most of us do from time to time.
There are lots of fitness options out there that all claim they will help you lose weight and achieve your desired body. Some offer fun and easy exercise routines, while others are designed to challenge you and build muscle quickly.
But losing weight is more than just finding the right exercise and diet plan; it’s also about finding the right motivation to KEEP YOU GOING!
There are many reasons why people want to lose weight. For most of us it’s about gaining self-confidence, self-esteem, looking better, and wanting to be healthier.
Initially we are all motivated and excited to take on these new challenges for a week or two, working out and eating as planned; but then something happens around week three and four, and suddenly the motivation just seems to fizzle to the wayside.
With the hectic, busy schedules so many of us tend to these days, you don’t have to look very hard to find an excuse not to hit the gym or eat healthy on any given day. And sooner or later these excuses become everyday events until your goal is lost all-together and failure wins once again.
So here are some effective weight loss motivational tips that will help you finish what you started and finally get in shape and gain the body you deserve!
1. Have a fitspiration (fitness inspiration).
Are you envious of your favorite star’s rockin’ body? Do you have a dress that you’ve been dying to wear? Want to feel more confident around others? Whatever your reason for wanting to lose weight and be fit, nothing will change unless you have the will to keep going! Having inspiration can keep you excited and motivated to stick with it and see your goals through. Whether you are just getting started or have been at it for a while, having inspiration will be a constant reminder to you of why you are working so hard in the first place (and the exciting result that will soon be yours)!
Common fitspirations are usually those who we think have a great body. Some are celebrities and some are athletes. In addition, fitspirations can also be words or quotes about being fit and staying healthy.
Create a poster, write on sticky notes, whatever it may be, with pictures and words that inspire you the most. I encourage you to write down your emotions that are associated with each inspiration. It will make your inspirations that much more powerful. And an easy way to keep your inspiration in the forefront of your mind is to post your creation in the most common place you frequent in your home or office so that you will always be encouraged throughout the day to achieve your fitness goals!
2. Read inspirational stories.
We often rely on the saying “Seeing is to believing” whenever we are hesitant to try new things that could make a great impact in our life. We tend to wait for people to share their success stories first rather than jumping in head first and finding out for ourselves.
Well, that’s not always a bad thing. Hearing about and seeing weight loss success stories are actually one of the most effective ways to stay motivated. When you see things that are tried and true, it gives you that extra push, excitement and belief that you can do it too!
3. Make it fun.
Grab a friend! Sharing a sweat session with your best pal can not only make the time go by faster because you are having more fun, but it can also keep you accountable. Encouraging each other to hit the gym, even when that seems like it’s the last thing on earth you want to do, will help you both to stay on track, grow stronger together and get healthier every day!
4. Track your progress.
Keep a journal and write down your progress in the specific program you’re following day by day. For example Monday-Wednesday-Friday I am going to work on these specific exercises, number of sets, reps, and weight. On Tuesday and Thursday I plan on attending classes or work on my cardio routines. Weighing yourself every few days can also help you tract your success. When you can visually see your improvements over time, this will make you want to keep going!
5. Stay focused.
Be positive, intentional and realistic! When you have a positive attitude you tend to see the best in everything. When you are intentional and mindful of the exercises you do and the food you eat the more successful you will be.
Finally, be realistic. Keep in mind that nobody is perfect. Even the best athletes, celebrities or other people you look up to slip up from time to time. Just know that with each good choice you make, it’s getting you that much closer to reaching a happy, healthier you! Pour your heart and soul into everything you do and the end result will be great! You will see that anything is possible!
It is such a great feeling when you see all of your hard work paying off! Just keep sticking with it and I promise you good things will come from it!
I hope these tips will help boost your confidence and give you that extra drive to achieve a happier, healthier you.\
